COPE Ministry Relief Food Program and Harvest
COPE Ministry primarily functions as a school in a rural region within West Pokot county, Kenya. However, they use many forms of physical outreach to help address the great needs within the community. One of their longest-running and vital programs is the Relief Food program. This is a feeding program that feeds approximately 350 households on a weekly basis. Many of those households consist of elderly or disabled individuals who would have no other way of procuring food if it weren’t for these weekly distributions.
The food distribution days are also an opportunity to share the gospel with the community and spend time praying with individuals who have specific prayer requests.
The Harvest of Talents grant that COPE Ministry receives from IDES is the primary funding for this program. Without Harvest of Talents, the most vulnerable people in the Pokot community would face severe food insecurity. We are extremely grateful for this support that enables us to serve our community in the name of Jesus and make a tangible difference in Pokot lives.
How you can help:
1. There will always be severe hunger. Pray for God to intervene, provide and use all Christians to do His work.
2. Donate or sponsor a child through COPE.
3. Share your talents with the 2025 Harvest of Talents to provide a harvest of financial blessings so more food can be provided.
