Getting ready for Harvest of Talents: how you can help.

What Do We Need For Harvest Day?
We are looking for handmade foods or items, experiences or helpful services that can be offered, helpers to serve food, people to cook food, donations of veggies for soup and flour/pecans/butter for the rolls, water bottles/cans of soda, dishwashers, set up/tear down muscle,Lego blocks, GAP food packers from 9am-12pm, and you and your friends to come join us on Harvest Day, October 25! New Things To Try Harvest Day – Make s’mores at the outdoor firepit. Bring straight-edged knives to be sharpened. Watch the graduates of Lincoln Park District’s puppy kindergarten class show off their skills. Be sure to check out the indoor food court. Former outdoor favorites like fried potatoes, breakfast burritos and IDES taco are moving into Rooms 15/16. New flavors – including Italian beef, mac-n-cheese, chicken nuggets?? and an apple sundae bar – are also on the menuATTENTION, New Check in Times – Please check in all handcrafted items by Wednesday evening for pricing and placement. (Mon 4-7pm, Tues 12-7pm, Wed 12-7pm, No Thur hours, Friday 9-7pm for baked goods and out of town donations.

Prayer Calendars

Prayer is the bedrock Harvest of Talents is built upon. Just as we prepare our hands to offer our talents to God, we prepare our hearts with prayer that He will bless these efforts for His glory. Prayer calendars are available at the LCC Welcome Center. Or have them delivered to your email by signing up here.

Harvest Sign Ups

Harvest reps will be at the Welcome Center Side B, Oct. 5 and 12. Pre-order soup and rolls or claim a shift for GAP food packaging on Harvest Day. Orders also will be taken for frozen, take-n-bake cinnamon rolls for pick up at the Christmas Cookie Walk, Dec. 13. Soup and roll pre-orders also can be placed in the church office Oct. 5 - 15.

Fall Produce – Apple trees overproducing? Fall veg ripening faster than it can be consumed? Harvest canners would love to turn your abundance into jams and preserves. Contact Bethany Henry, 217-871-6054

Check, Please! – LCC cannot cash checks made out to Harvest or IDES. If paying by check for a Harvest purchase/donation, please make it out to “LCC or Lincoln Christian Church.” Add HOT to the memo line, as well as what the funds are supporting (ie. memo: HOT roll preorder/HOT spring tea/HOT memorial, etc.).
